Ah, Zoya… definitely a favorite in the beauty community. I don’t know if they still do this, but once yearly they used to have this crazy sale, where you could get 3 polishes for free, just pay shipping. Any brand that’s willing to give discounts like that, I’m a fan of. But the main selling point for me is their huge selection of colors and finishes. I picked these three shades off the website, not having seen them in person, but I ended up being happy with all three.
Ava: slightly warm light pink, with no detectable glitter, but a shimmery irredesience (it’s a unique and flattering finish); sheer with one coat, opaque with three
Melodie: cooler taupe-y pink with lots of fine silver shimmer; opaque in two coats
Gia: classic Monroe orange-based red; opaque
All three colors apply smoothly. The formula is relatively thin, slightly more liquid-y than most other polishes I own. The brush seems pretty average-sized. Zoya’s formula is formaldehyde, toluene, dibutyl phthalate (DBP) and camphor free. It’s also vegan.
Not exactly the neatest swatches I’ve ever done, but you get the idea. What do you think about Zoya polishes? Any favorite colors?
