SIBU Beauty Sea Buckthorn Balancing Facial Cleanser

Sibu Beauty Sea Buckthorn Balancing Facial Cleanser SIBU Beauty Sea Buckthorn Balancing Facial CleanserWhen Sibu Beauty approached me to send a product for review, I had already heard rave upon rave about the brand. The cornertone of this cruelty-free line is sea buckthorn berry, which contains Omega 3, 6, 9, and the less common Omega-7. While I was interested in the brand, I also had my typical hesitation about new skin care. So many products can cause me break outs and once the acne starts appearing, it can take weeks for my skin to recover. I decided the safest introduction to the brand would be their Sea Buckthorn Balancing Facial Cleanser SIBU Beauty Sea Buckthorn Balancing Facial Cleanser. Because I’d be washing it off immediately, I figured it would allow me to gauge my skin’s reaction to the Sibu line before venturing into leave-on face creams.

Sibu Beauty Cleanser with box SIBU Beauty Sea Buckthorn Balancing Facial CleanserThe Sea Buckthorn Balancing Facial Cleanser comes in a sturdy plastic bottle with pump top. The yellow gel-like formula has a pleasant citrus scent that’s not overpowering and dissipates quickly after its rinsed off. It also contains very fine granules that provide gentle exfoliation, which I love. It feels both exfoliating and hydrating.Sibu Beauty Cleanser Ingredients SIBU Beauty Sea Buckthorn Balancing Facial Cleanser

To my delight, the potential bad reaction never came. If anything, I’ve actually had a couple great skin weeks since I started using the Sibu cleanser. Cause and effect or just coincidence? I can’t say for sure, but  I can say it’s definitely warmed me up trying more Sibu skincare.

Hey Catherine, thanks for the review! I’ve heard about Sibu as well, but I haven’t tried anything from them! Glad to hear the cleanser works well and that your skin didn’t react bad to it. You should go on using it just to make sure it’s the thing that’s giving you great skin! ;)

Hi Sunny! I definitely am going to keep using the cleanser. Some products I will test, review, then rarely use again, but this is one that’s staying in my daily routine. ♥

Oh, just read this on Liz’s :-) I love citrus scented cleansers. They smell so fresh! I don’t think we get this brand here, but it’s something I’d like to try for sure.

Hi Lily! Sibu is kind of everywhere right now it seems. If you like citrusy cleansers, you would love this. It’s not quite orange, not quite lemon – sort of a blended citrus scent, it’s nice ♥

EVvery time I see something from Sibu, I feel drawn to it, but I’ve never tried anything. I’m like you and am very wary of changing skincare when I find products that are working. This sounds really nice though! I’ll have to keep it in mind when considering a new cleanser :)
