I’m such a fan of the Prestige Total Intensity liners that I decided to try out their other liner formulas. The first one I purchased is the Prestige Soft Blend Khol Eyeliner.
It probably isn’t a surprise given the name that these are totally different than the Total Intensity liners. The Total Intensity liners give super inky dark color and many of them have a somewhat metallic-y tinge. The Soft Blend Khols are designed to create more diffused, subtle smokiness. They are perfect for creating a quick everyday look that’s just a little more than my usual tightlining and mascara. I just line the outer half of my eye, use the smudger to blend it out, then go back in with the liner to add a bit more definition right at the lash line and outer corner. Because you’re using a smudger, you don’t have to worry about getting the lines perfect. It takes all of 60 seconds and I’m loving the natural, effortless results.
Havana is a true dark brown. I find that true neutral brown liners can be hard to get right – they often lean red, which isn’t my favorite tone for lining. To me, the depth of the color makes this unique and I can see myself incorporating it into many different looks. This would be a particularly great shade for very fair beauties who find blacks too harsh and most browns too warm.
Here’s Havana with a medium brown liner – a Clinique Quickliner in Brown that I got in a GWP a while back. You can see how much darker Havana is.
