Milani Brow Fix Brow Kit

Milani Brow Kit Milani Brow Fix Brow Kit

Have you tried Milani Brow Fix Brow Kit? This affordable kit has been compared to Anastasia’s brow powder on Makeupalley (where it’s is currently rated a 4.6!) I’d been eyeing it for a while and now that I’ve finally tried it, I must say, I’m impressed.

I have this kit in Light. My brows are naturally dark (quite a bit darker than my hair, oddly enough) so I don’t like to darken them more. Brow Fix Brow Kit comes with three powders: a pearly highlight, a light sandy tan, and a darker neutral brown – none of which have red tones. They subtly define my brows, filling in any gaps, while managing to keep them from getting too dark. I’m personally not much for shimmer brow highlights, but I do use the highlight in my tear duct/inner corner, and it’s instantly brightening. The finish reminds me of Clinique Daybreak, which Tanya Burr on Youtube has raved about. All of these shades can double as eyeshadow.

Next to the powders, there are three tools that pop out, revealing a magnifying mirror. The mini tools included are tweezers, a sponge-tip applicator, and an angled brush.

I doubt Milani intended these to replace full-sized tools – but hey, they work in a pinch. I actually find the mini angled brush works surprisingly well. The mini tweezers, on the other hand, are pretty difficult to use (it took a lot of pinching to grab one hair). The sponge-tip applicator is… a sponge-tip applicator.

Before & After Milani Brow Fix Brow Kit

This kit lets you create soft, natural definition that just enhances your own brows, rather than looking drawn on. I love that – but since the effect is subtle, it’s not the easiest to show in photos. The lighting had changed a bit between the two shots, but you get the idea. On my eyes, I used the powders in the kit as shadows – I ran the dark shade along my lashes with an angled brush and slightly into the outer corner, then blended the light shade through my crease. I used the highlight under my brow bone and in my inner corner.

Oh I actually bought this a long time ago!! It’s a touch too brown for me, but I think it’s a GREAT, affordable set and am really happy it’s available in drugstores. The highlight shade is super nice too!
