Recently, I entered Walmart for an unrelated-to-beauty purchase and left with FLOWER Beauty Nail’d It Nail Lacquer in Make My Daylily. Like my other FLOWER nail polish in That’s Just Dan-De-Lion (my review), it’s a soft, understated beauty.Make My Daylily is a pinky, mauve-y, beige-y neutral with a cream finish. On light to medium skintones, it’s what we tend to classify as a nude. I think it would look gorgeous and chic against darker skintones, but the effect would be less MNBB and more noticeable color. Like Just Dan-De-Loin, the formula applies smoothly. I will say, because the brush is on the larger side, it can pick up a lot of polish, so just ensure you wipe the excess off along the top of the bottle’s opening before applying (which you probably already do anyway). Otherwise, it’s easy to work with. Two coats yield total opacity. This is its fifth day on my nails and I have a bit of unevenness along where the polish meets the cuticle area (barely noticeable unless you’re intentionally examining) and a miniscule chip on my right pointer finger. Otherwise, it’s still going strong and I should be able to get at least two more days of wear. Not bad at any price point, let alone under $5!
