FLOWER Beauty Lash Knockout Volumizing Mascara

Flower beauty mascara review FLOWER Beauty Lash Knockout Volumizing Mascara

I received the FLOWER Beauty Lash Knockout Volumizing Mascara ($6.98) months ago, but wanted to use up my open mascaras before starting on this. Now, after thorough testing, I’m happy to add this to my shortlist of great cruelty-free, affordable mascaras.

What I love about the Lash Knockout Volumizing Mascara is how buildable it is. You can layer up to nearly false-lash-level thickness and length. But you can also wear one or two coats for a more natural effect. The formula is very prone to smudging during application – it’s more of a wet formula, although it doesn’t feel that way on the lashes. It’s a good idea to wipe excess off the wand before applying. Once it’s applied and dried, it stays put. I’ve also found that it holds a curl well. Removal is easy with a gentle cleanser or whatever makeup remover you favor.

The one drawback is limited availability – Walmart is the only retailer of FLOWER Beauty. But overall I recommend this mascara. It performs well and the price is right for a product you use up in 3 months. I would definitely repurchase, if I didn’t have tons of other mascaras waiting en queue.

Have you tried FLOWER Beauty? Do you have a favorite inexpensive mascara?

This looks nice on you! Flower isn’t available here, but from what I read people like their products in general! I used to use Maybelline mascaras and love them! Nowadays I rarely buy mascaras because I try to ask for mascara samples whenever I buy something :)

Haha smart lady, Sunny! I like sample size mascaras as long as the brush is the same as the original, because it seems like they last nearly as long as full-sized ones. I’ve been trying to avoid getting too many though, because I accumulated such a stash of sample sized mascaras over the years. Even if I don’t open them until I’m ready to use them, some have dried out before I get a chance to test them out ♥

      • http://mostlysunnyblog.com/ Sunny @Mostly Sunny

Oh nooo that’s sad! I don’t have THAT many, but a sample mascara can also last me 3 months, so it takes a while to go through them!

    • Christine

That is a genius idea! :) Sample mascaras are perfect because they rarely run out before they need tossing…and they’re free! :)

i am new to the brand but i’m always willing to try affordable mascaras that perform.
i will check it out next time i’m at walmart. :)

Let me know how you like it, Lena! ♥

Great review! I have yet to try anything from this brand but now I think I will :)

    • http://buyingcrueltyfree.com/ Catherine

Hi Kristina! Definitely let me know what you try and how you like it ♥

  • Martha

I might have to try this! I bought one of the waterproof formulas for my mom and she said that she really liked it, but I haven’t bought any for myself yet because I’m trying to work through my current open stash!

    • http://buyingcrueltyfree.com/ Catherine

Hi Martha! I’m the same way, I haven’t been buying mascaras because I just have SO many to finish. I do need to get a waterproof mascara, though, maybe I’ll check out FLOWER’s versions. Do you remember which one it was? ♥

      • Martha

I’m pretty sure it was the waterproof version of this green tube.

  • LifeOfBun

Looks gorgeous, such natural flutter lashes it gives!

      Thanks! ♥

First off, your sight and pictures look awesome! The mascara looks very promising as well, great curl girl!

    • http://buyingcrueltyfree.com/ Catherine

      Thanks, love! ♥

  • Lily

Is it strange that I’m attracted to the green tube? Your lashes look great, Catherine. Too bad we don’t get this brand here, or I’d definitely give it a try :-)

    • http://buyingcrueltyfree.com/ Catherine

Haha thanks, Lily! I didn’t love the green tube, but that’s mostly because it was a pain to photograph ♥

  • http://kissandmakeupsbeautyblog.com/ Kiss & Make-up

Cute packaging. I like it a lot. And the result looks quite nice as well!

    • http://buyingcrueltyfree.com/ Catherine

      Glad you like it! ♥

  • Hephzibah

I really like the tube :) I would try this out but we don’t get it here. My favourite mascara at the moment is by Benecos, and it was relatively cheap too. Looks good x

    • http://buyingcrueltyfree.com/ Catherine

I hope FLOWER expands to other countries soon. I’ve never heard of Benecos, I don’t think it’s sold here unfortunately. ♥

  • Christine

I really liked this mascara too. It looks AMAZING on you and excellent photos! Mascara pics are so difficult! :) I’ve tried all 3 of the Flower mascaras and I think this one is my favorite. They’re all surprisingly good though. I’m like you and have waaaay too many mascaras as well. My mom got me a mascara sampler last year and I’m STILL trying to get through them! :)
