It’s that time again! Here are my eye-catching beauty products for Fall 2013.
1. VAPOUR Organic Beauty Aura Multi Use Blushes
Vapour is a Leaping Bunny-certified, organic beauty brand that I’ve noticed more and more on blogs. Many of the products look beautiful, but the Aura Multi Use Blushes ($34) are stand outs. Similar to the NARS Multiples, these can be applied to cheeks, lips, and eyes for convenient, sheer color. Pictured above is Spark.
2. NAILS INC Gel Effect Polish in Porchester Square
Nails Inc Gel Effect in Porchester Square was first brought on my radar by Will Work For Makeup. It reminds me of a slightly lighter, slightly less murky version of Cult Nails Let’s Get Dirty (my review), but with a glossy finish. At $14, it’s more than I usually spend on a nail polish, but the color is really that pretty. Nails Inc is cruelty-free, paraben-free, and vegan.
3. NAILS INC Bling It On Rose Gold
Nails Inc Bling It On Rose Gold ($22.50) is designed to create a “rose gold foil effect.” It includes a Rose Gold Foil Effect Polish in Kings Road, rose gold glitter, an applicator, and brush. I originally thought Kings Road was mini sized at .33 oz, but it looks like that’s Nails Inc’s standard polish size.
4. HOURGLASS Ambient Lighting Palette
I’m sure this one comes as no surprise, as it’s been all over the beauty blogosphere in recent weeks. The Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette ($58) includes my beloved Radiant Light, the next-on-my-purchase-list Dim Light, and new limited edition Incandescent Light. As I write this post, I’m simultaneously adding it to my Sephora shopping cart.
5. ILIA Lipstick Crayon in Iko Iko
I have a soft spot for crayon-style products and anything that gives lips both hydration and color. Ilia Lipstick Crayon in Iko Iko ($24) covers all those bases. Iko Iko is a brown-peach with gold shimmer, but all the the Ilia Lipstick Crayon shades are beautiful and designed to mix and layer.
6. BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed in Rose Gold
The famed Shimmering Skin Perfector now comes in pressed form, at least for a limited time. Described as “crushed gemstones in a compact,” the BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed ($38.00) is currently ranking a full 5 out of 5 stars on Sephora.com. You can see swatches at Temptalia.com. To me, the color is more a peachy pink with gold shimmer than rose gold. Either way, it’s gorgeous.
7. OCC Lip Tar All-Star Set x 4
If, like me, you’ve been interesting in the lip tars but didn’t want to pay for a huge tube (knowing you’d never use it up), the mini sizes in the OCC Mini Lip Tar All-Star Set ($20) look perfect. The four shades range from natural light pink to vampy plum, yet all look wearable and mixable.
8. URBAN DECAY Naked 3
I don’t have an image for this one and it isn’t confirmed, but the rumblings of a new Naked palette have caught my attention. I spotted this on Shirayuki’s Beauty Instagram. If this is the Naked 3 palette, it certainly looks similar to the Naked 2, but I’m curious to have a closer look at the shades nonetheless.
