Worth The Hype: The Beauty Blender

Beauty Blender1 Worth The Hype: The Beauty Blender

Ah, the Beauty Blender. You either love it or you balk at its price tag. Or (like me) you do both simultaneously. I mean, $20+ for a sponge?!  I know, it’s a little crazy. But as much as I tried to fight it, this absurdly expensive pink triangle has become my absolute, hands down favorite foundation applicator. CONTINUE READING…

Cruelty-Free Body Scrubs

Body Scrubs JPG Cruelty Free Body Scrubs

If you’re like me, winter usually means piling on the moisturizer. I go through bottles of creams and lotions like crazy as the temperatures drop. In addition to keeping skin hydrated, regular exfoliation can also help in the fight against winter dryness. ZOYA Nail Lacquer in Noot

Zoya Noot ZOYA Nail Lacquer in Noot

Today I present to you the nail lacquer that broke my years-long no-dark-polish streak. It began when a co-worker wore Essie Power Clutch. I instantly knew I wanted this color, but a cruelty-free version. So I turned to Zoya, the brand that has a greater array of shades than any I know. And they have what appears to be nearly an exact dupe: Zoya Noot ($8). CONTINUE READING…

Zoya Godiva ZOYA PixieDust Nail Lacquer in Godiva

After months of resisting, I’ve finally ventured into the realm of textured nail polish with Zoya PixieDust Nail Lacquer in Godiva ($9). The real draw for me was the sparkly champagne-beige color. I had my reservations about the texture (wouldn’t it bother me? catch on things?) But after three coats and over a week of wear, I have nothing but raves for this polish.

JOUER Cosmetics Instant Chic Collection

Jouer Instant Chic Set JOUER Cosmetics Instant Chic Collection

I’ve been itching to try Jouer since I first learned of them about a year ago. Once the brand confirmed that they do not test on animals or sell where animal testing is required, I placed an order. Deciding what to try was a no-brainer – I immediately zeroed in on the Instant Chic Collection. The colors and textures – it’s almost like I put this kit together myself. It includes the Moisturizing Lip Gloss in Starfish, Powder Eyeshadow in Peach, Tint in Fawn, and Mineral Powder Bronzer in Suntan. CONTINUE READING…
