The Osmia Organics Perfume Oils are unlike most fragrances on the market. As you might expect from an organic brand, these are all decidedly nature-inspired: earthy, woodsy, smokey, etc. They’re also literally nature-based – the components of each scent are made from nature itself (a fuller explanation of how they’re made by founder Sarah Villafranco, MD here). Because they’re natural, they don’t induce headaches like so many artificial fragrances do. While many of them are quite strong scents, there’s a “softness” to them. You can breathe them in effortlessly and they blend with the chemistry of your skin.
When Sibu Beauty approached me to send a product for review, I had already heard rave upon rave about the brand. The cornertone of this cruelty-free line is sea buckthorn berry, which contains Omega 3, 6, 9, and the less common Omega-7. So many products can cause me break outs and once the acne starts appearing, it can take weeks for my skin to recover. I decided the safest introduction to the brand would be their Sea Buckthorn Balancing Facial Cleanser. Because I’d be washing it off immediately, I figured it would allow me to gauge my skin’s reaction to the Sibu line before venturing into leave-on face creams. CONTINUE READING…

If you’ve wanted to try beauty boxes but had the same concern, or if you’re looking for only vegan products, Vegan Cuts may be your answer. The monthly beauty box includes 4-7 cruelty-free, vegan makeup and skincare products for $19.95 per month. CONTINUE READING…
