It’s time for a second “new lip balm” stockup (check out the first one here)! In this edition, we have balms from Ellovi, Jersey Shore Sun, Victory Honey, and Biggs & Featherbelle.
Ellovi Lip Butter
If you saw my rave of Ellovi Butter, it will come as no surprise that the release of Ellovi Lip Butter had me scrambling to the virtual checkout. This is the second product in Ellovi’s short and sweet line. It appears white in the tube, but glides onto the lips totally transparent. It’s fragrance-free and I detect just the faintest “natural ingredient” scent of what I think is shea butter.
Jersey Shore Sun Lip Conditioner in Winter Mint
This balm came in my Vegan Cuts Beauty Box and was the first time I heard of the Jersey Shore Sun brand. I know I’ve mentioned that I’m a big fan of mint-scented & flavored balms, so I’ve been finding myself reaching for this often. This balm is silky smooth with a lot of slip. It gives a translucent, glossy finish. Vegan.
Victory Honey Pomegranate Lip Balm
Victory Honey is a small, handmade skincare line based in Arlington, VA. The staple ingredients are honey and wax, extracted from the owners’ family-run bee hives. The Pomegranate Lip Balm contains beeswax, shea butter, coconut oil, grapeseed oil, and vitamin E. The texture is a little bit crumbly and a little bit dry, but the balm feels like it forms a protective layer on your lips against harsh winter weather. It has a light, pleasant fruity scent and taste.
Biggs & Featherbelle Eskimo Kiss Minty Moisture Lip Balm
Another minty balm, the Eskimo Kiss Balm is also my first product from Biggs & Featherbelle. It’s similar to the Jersey Shore Sun balm, perhaps just slightly more solid and thick. The mint is slightly less strong than in the Jersey Shore Sun balm, but still gives that fresh, clean feel.
