It’s time for my third “lip balm stock-up” post (see the first and second)! This installation features balms from Palmer’s, Kiss My Face, and Burt’s Bees. Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula Moisturizing Lip Balm SPF 15 in Dark Chocolate & Mint
Mineral oil, wax, and cocoa butter give this Palmer’s Lip Balm its ultra-smooth texture. It has a similar scent and feel to the Palmer’s balm I shared in the first lip balm roundup, but this one is colorless. It also contains SPF 15, which is much appreciated, especially in summer.
Kiss My Face Sport Treat Mint SPF 30
My first Kiss My Face product, the Kiss My Face Sport Treat Mint SPF 30 offers broad spectrum, water resistant sun protection for up to 80 minutes. In addition to being perfect for sunny summer days and beach vacations, this Leaping Bunny-certified balm has a fresh mint scent and colorless texture. It’s slightly firmer than the Palmer’s balm, but still glides on smoothly.
Burt’s Bees Tinted Lip Balm in Hibiscus*
When Burt’s Bees Tinted Lip Balms released a couple years ago, I immediately picked up a handful of shades. While they were good balms, I just really didn’t like their scent. A few positive reviews from other bloggers prompted me to give Hibiscus another try. This go around, the scent doesn’t bother me (though I still don’t love it) and I’m liking the natural pink color it imparts. The consistency is slightly creamier, less thin or slick feeling than the Pomegranate Balm (my review).
*Burt’s Bees’ parent company, Clorox, tests on animals. Burt’s Bees has pledged to stay cruelty-free and remains Leaping Bunny-certified.
Lip Balm Roundups 1 & 2
Have you discovered any great new balms lately? I’d love your recommendations, especially of any that have SPF!
