Continuing the White Rabbit Beauty cruelty-free foundation series, today I have swatches of the 100% Pure Healthy Skin Foundation ($32).

100 Perfect Pure Foundation Swatches 100% PURE Healthy Skin Foundation with Super Fruits Swatches

1. Crème

2. White Peach

3. Peach Bisque

4. Golden Peach

5. Toffee

There are two more darker shades not pictured here: Mousse and Cocoa.

I can usually get a sense of whether a foundation will work for me based on the ingredients. But the Healthy Skin ingredients list is full of fruit extracts – not something I often see in foundations. As much as I love the concept of a foundation filled only with fruit and healthy ingredients, I’ll be honest – I wasn’t sure whether it would work for my skin.

As soon as I started applying Healthy Skin, I was pleasantly surprised. It looks remarkably like my skin’s natural texture, yet it gives a good medium coverage. Though 100% Pure describes it as satin, the finish is what I’d call natural matte. I got compliments on my skin while wearing Healthy Skin – which is always a mark of approval for a foundation!

From the swatches, I thought Peach Bisque might pull orange on me, but it matches my skin well.

While it’s not clear how much sun protection Healthy Skin offers, it does contain mineral sunscreen (titanium dioxide and zinc oxide). Healthy Skin is vegan, gluten-free, and USDA-certified organic. Like all brands sold by White Rabbit Beauty, 100% Pure is Leaping Bunny-certified cruelty-free.

100% Pure Healthy Skin Ingredients

15% Titanium Dioxide, 10% Zinc Oxide Organic Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice1, Oryza Sativa (Rice) Starch, Pigmented Extracts of: Prunus Persica (Peach) Fruit, Prunus Armeniaca (Apricot) Fruit, Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa Bean) and Lycium Chinese (Goji Berry) Fruit, Euterpe Oleracea (Acai Berry) Fruit Oil, Punica Granatum (Pomegranate) Seed Oil, Tocopherol (Vitamin E), Sodium Ascorbate (Vitamin C), Extracts of: Cerifera Cera (Candelilla Wax), Organic Camellia Sinensis (Ferment White Tea) Leaf2, Coffea Arabica (Coffee Cherry) Seed, Aristotelia Chilensis (Maqui Berry), Vitis Vinifera (Muscadine Grape) Skin, Garcinia Mangostana (Mangosteen) Peel, Malpighia Punicifolia (Acerola) Fruit, Sambucus Canadensis (Elderberry), Citrus Grandis (Grapefruit) Seed, Lonicera Caprifolium (Japanese Honeysuckle)

As always, thank you so much to Jean of White Rabbit Beauty for making this series possible!

I’ve tried this one and it’s pretty nice I agree!

Which shade are you in this foundation, Tracy? Thanks for your comment! ♥

      • TracyBeautyReflections

As I recall, I tried the White Peach!

        • http://buyingcrueltyfree.com/ Catherine

Ooh thanks for the info! It’s interesting, the first two shades are very close in color depth, one is just more yellow. ♥

    My pleasure, Kristina! ♥

I love a skin healthy foundation! I haven’t tried 100% pure though I have heard such wonderful things about the brand. Im hoping to come across it soon! Glad this worked well for you! The idea that its medium coverage and natural looking is exciting! i love that and know its achievable with the right product!

    • http://buyingcrueltyfree.com/ Catherine

Hi Taylor! It’s quite a different finish than my usual glowy, light coverage, but I’m really enjoying it. I do need to make sure I really exfoliate and moisturize well beforehand, because it is matte. I’m excited about this foundation though, and I love the idea of healthy ingredients in my foundation. I think that makeup with skincare benefits is the way of the future! ;)

  • LifeOfBun

Ohhh yes I was looking for something like this to replace my Bourjois Healthy Mix, a cruelty free replacement. IIICK! Yay!!

    • http://buyingcrueltyfree.com/ Catherine

It’s definitely one to check out, though it’s more matte and also gives a fuller coverage than Healthy Mix. ♥

  • TinaBowling

This sounds like a really nice foundation, worth taking a look. Great swatches!

    • http://buyingcrueltyfree.com/ Catherine

      Thank you, Tina! ♥

  • moxiereviews

Thank you for the swatches. Haven’t tried Healthy Skin, so these helped! xo

    • http://buyingcrueltyfree.com/ Catherine

      Glad to help, Moxie! ♥

  • http://mybeautysample.com/ Becca @ The Beauty Sample

Have not tried anything from this brand but this sounds great! Not sure how well it’d work for my crazy oily, acneic skin but sounds like a great option for those looking for a nice, cruelty-free, healthy skin foundation!

    • http://buyingcrueltyfree.com/ Catherine

Hi Becca! Looking at all the ingredients, I was worried this would cause me to break out, but surprisingly it hasn’t (at least not yet) and it’s quite mattifying. Definitely exceeded my expectations! ♥

  • Makeup Matters

so glad you did this post. I’ve been so curious about this foundation for a while but haven’t tried it. I read that Jessica Alba wears their tinted moisturizer. I love their mascara, it gives surprising length and volume for a natural mascara. I am going to try this foundation for sure! great review!

  • convenientbeauty

Ah they look so smooth. My color probably sits between 2 and 3. The ingredients is the winner for me. Very helpful swatch! What’s your color in this line Catherine?

    • http://buyingcrueltyfree.com/ Catherine

I’m shade 3, Peach Bisque. I thought it would be orange but it matches me really well, surprisingly. ♥

      • convenientbeauty

Good to know! It sounds promising!

  • Martha

These look really nice, and I like the shade range! It seems like some natural foundation ranges pull so light, so there are no options for darker-skinned ladies.

    • http://buyingcrueltyfree.com/ Catherine

Hi Martha! I know, I really dislike when companies don’t come out with a full range of shades ♥

  • Bigantic

Why did you leave out the darker skin tones?

    • http://buyingcrueltyfree.com/ Catherine

Unfortunately White Rabbit Beauty, which provided me the samples, currently doesn’t stock them. If anyone has access to the darker shades, I’d love to include them, or get “guest swatches” ♥

Hi Yanoya, the way I learned color theory, more pink = cooler and more yellow = warmer. Based on that, White Peach is cooler with more pink and Creme is warmer with more yellow. They are fairly close in color depth, so I would base your decision on your skin’s undertones. If you have more yellow/warmer skin, go with Creme and cooler tones/pinker, go with White Peach. If you’re not sure, you can always order samples for about $1 on the White Rabbit Beauty website and test them in person before purchasing. Hope that helps! ♥

    • yanoya

Hi again Catherine. I have not decided yet. :) I need rather pink or neutral undertone. Not sure about the lightness. Have you or anybody tested their new color ALPINE ROSE? Which one is closer to Creme in its lightness, Alpine rose or White peach? It would be great to see a swatch of these three together…

Hi! I’m NC 30-35 and I ended up getting Peach Bisque. I loved it but it oxidizes a little so it ends up being too dark on me. I’m thinking of getting White Peach but I was wondering if that oxidizes as well? Do you think it would be a good match for NC 30-35 skin tone (MAC)?
